What puasa can do for you?

When you were young, puasa was hell. When you grow older, puasa gets easier. By the time you finish work, you worry about getting home in time for breaking fast with the family etc etc. Is it because older people have less time to think about food compared to children? If such is the case, then when come puasa time, we should force our children to spend more time doing work than usual. Make them go to kedai every hour. Make them wash their shoes every other day, gosok kain, basuh pinggan and COOK for you ! If they complain about tiredness, maybe it is because they had food that was under-nutritient during sahur. So, pump them with vitamins, supplements and other Weider's strength building food. At the end of the day, we get children who gets through puasa day with ease, can perform multiple task without complaining, you get to rest (since they do most of the chores) and a healthy child with Arnold Schwarnegger arms and legs.

Perfect!

A Poem

Save this very little time that we have and smile at our witty jokes for when we are no longer around, what you have are only memories.

Save this cute humour of ours for when you are sad it will remind you of the happiness and youthfulness you once had in you.

Save it and we shall be in your hearts forever.

Mister Guitar

I have a new guitar hero, Chet Atkins. You should hear Chester Atkins play. I use to love Joe Satriani, Vai and the rest, but not anymore. I was so overwhelmed that I enrolled into Yamaha Music School this morning to learn classical guitar. Well, I am quite OK on the six-string equipment and I learned to play by heart since I was 16 but now I am getting serious. When I play, I'll pretend to be Chet. And when the time is right, I'll get myself a Gibson guitar like the one Chet has and pretend to be him. Chet died in 2001 at the age of 77 but his music will live forever.

"Years from now, after I'm gone someone will listen to what I've done and know I was here. They may not know or care who I was, but they'll hear my guitars speaking for me."

Movie Of The Week - "Lazy In Ramadan"

It is that month again. Where a single deed is a hundred times more valueble than when it is performed in other ordinary month in Islam. Fasting or "saum" as what they call it in Bin Ladin country, is the islamic month where muslims abstain themselves from food beginning dawn and break their fast at dusk. Not only should they abstain from food but also from all other worldly desires. And at night, they perform "Taraweh" prayers. Seeking solace in front of God The Almighty.

The weird thing about the month of Ramadhan is that, the moment it begins, all the government agencies and ministries in Malaysia slows down operation. Does fasting make people less active and less productive? It is also sad to understand that non-muslims have this unwritten acceptance of the fact that the moment Ramadhan is around, business does not move in the government sector.

May God forgive us for being a bad example to the rest of humankind.

Women ARE from Venus

I really believe that women are cleaner than man. They clean their body by flushing out dirty "things" via menstruation. But the question is, where did all the dirt come from? If there is such a thing, dont we men have them too? Men and women are planets apart arent they?

"5-SECOND RULE"

Jillian Clarke was a Chicago high school student when she investigated the "5-second rule" that states if food falls to the floor for fewer than 5 seconds, it is safe to pick it up and eat it.

She found, in a survey, that 76 percent of U.S. women and 56 percent of men were familiar with the 5-second rule, and used it to justify picking up and eating dropped treats, or letting their children do so.

Clarke swabbed floors at the University of Illinois and found them surprisingly clean of microbes, thus justifying the rule.
